Baking and Buttercream

Learn how to bake and finish the perfect cake for covering with fondant. This course is for those who have never baked or interested in learning how to properly bake a cake.


Students will learn:

  • Basic baking skills
  • How to bake four staple recipes
  • How to make swiss meringue buttercream
  • How to prepare, fill, mask and assemble a cake
    suitable for decoration with fondant
     

Students will make:

A finished vanilla bean cake filled and masked with swiss meringue buttercream icing.

Students will also receive a review handout and some extra recipes.
 

Students must wear:

  • Flat closed hard toe shoes
  • Apron

Note: For all baking classes students must tie hair back.
