Cake Design Start to Finish: Pretty Party Cake

Students will learn:
- How to support the cake with dowels
- How to make a decorative bow
- Create a gingham ribbon border
- Make strawberries and blossoms
- How to pipe and paint patterns on the cake
Students will make:
Students will cover a two tiered cake in fondant and embellish the cake while learning various decorative techniques.
Students are required to bring:
- One fresh round 8" cake on a 12" drum (cake must be no less than 3" high and must be masked with Swiss Meringue Buttercream.)
Students must wear:
- Flat closed hard toe shoes
- Apron
